Educational Benefits
of Roboduel

Roboduel is a competitive, game based learning tool, where students play in Head to Head, Team versus Team, or Trials matches to advance their skills.

Why Compete in Roboduel?

Extrinsic Motivation

Competitions offer students an extrinsic motivation to get started with or continue their coding and robotics journey. Game points and rankings give students clear feedback on their progress.

Global Competitions

Head to Head matches offer one versus one competitions in a variety of games modes, with ranked and private matches available. Students can compete against peers around the world or in their classroom.

Teamwork Skills

Develop skills in empathy, communication, collaborative problem solving, time management, and leadership. Quick match cycles and a low barrier to entry let competitors hone their skill over many matches in short timescales.

Track Your Progress

Trials let students compete with each other in an asynchronous format, with time, point, and defense trials. Students can track their own progress and see how they stack up against the strongest competition.

See What Your Students Will Learn!

A robotics focus gives students a chance to engage in applying STEM skills, with a particular focus on technology, engineering and mathematics skills.

Problem solving
Analysis
Calculation
Creative thinking
Planning
Iterative development
Optimising solutions

Coding skills are important in Roboduel. Students will need to program their Roboduel creations to complete a variety of tasks autonomously - encouraging students to develop and implement optimised algorithms while putting their basic programming skills to the test.

Algorithm development
Interacting with APIs
Developing and using modular programs
Testing and bug fixing
Practicing technical reading skills

Team-based competitions provide students with a chance to put teamwork skills into practice.

Defining and executing on team roles
Communication with other team members
Negotiating tasks
Conflict resolution
Scoping team projects and creating project briefs
Adapting to changing circumstances
Working under time pressure during matches

Tools to Succeed!

Robotify has the tools you need to help your students succeed. From our courses to competitions, there are many ways
to get your students engaged in coding and go from beginner to expert!

Projects System

Our projects systems let students interact with competition environments to test and develop their algorithms and skills without the time and competition pressure of the Roboduel environment.

Ranking System

The Roboduel Ranking system matchmakes teams and individuals by skill level, allowing students to operate in their zone of proximal development. It also provides students a chance to take part in online invitational Roboduel competition events.

Robotify Courses

Robotify courses provide students with the fundamentals required to code, bringing students from having never coded before to develop algorithms and implementing them for competition.

Educator Resources

Our educator resources provide sample lesson plans for both virtual and physical classrooms. Slides, worksheets, and activities support student learning in the courseware.
